Robert David Grove, 67, of Enola, PA passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 after battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years. Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marlene (Meehan) Grove of Enola, PA; daughter Caroline Grove of Mechanicsburg, PA; son Jared Grove and daughter-in-law Shelley of Falls Church, VA; daughter Miranda (Grove) Haldeman, son-in-law Andrew and granddaughter Cassandra Jean of Mechanicsburg, PA; brother Charles (Linda) Grove of Florida; nieces Shannon (David) Ballard of Florida, Jennifer (John) Kenbeek of Florida, Morgan Malone of Ohio, Mackenzie Malone of Ohio; nephew Ryan (Meghan) Grove of Colorado; and a close extended family.

Rob (to most of the family) graduated in 1972 from Northern High School in Dillsburg, PA. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Bob (to co-workers and friends) worked for the Defense Information Systems Agency at the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg for 34 years before retiring in 2013.

Robert wore many hats, was active in local organizations and loved spending time with family and friends. He was a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and taught swimming lessons. Bob was involved in EPLW Soccer (Coach and Board Member), East Pennsboro High School Athletics (Soccer Statistician and Booster Club), Girl Scouts (Cookie Manager), and Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church (Vacation Bible School Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Sanctuary Choir, Bell Choir, and various Church Boards). Bob enjoyed outings with the “Empty Nesters”, playing Disc Golf, making trips to Tröegs, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers (despite being a Seattle Seahawks fan), and cuddling on the floor with the dogs, especially Gilly.

The private Memorial Service is reserved for family and close friends. A Celebration of Life reception is scheduled in the spring of 2022. Contributions made to Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church or a local Humane Society are greatly appreciated.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Grove family.
