Mildred Ruth Rutter, 75 of Camp Hill (formerly of West Fairview) entered into rest Friday, July 19, 2013 with loved ones by her side.
She was the youngest of five siblings born April 30, 1938 to the late Paul D. and Leona Black of Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her brothers George L. Black, Paul D. Black Jr. and a sister, Beatrice Good. She was married to the late Leonard A. Rutter Sr.
"Millie" retired from The Holy Spirit Hospital April 30, 2003, serving most of her twenty-seven year career as a Patient Care Assistant on Seven Main. She was a member of the West Fairview United Methodist Church and the Goodwill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary (West Fairview). She enjoyed reading, bingo, listening to music and spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her only living sister, Arlene Black and four of her beloved children: two daughters-Sabrina McFarland Meek (husband Greg), Selina McFarland Puskarich, and two sons Dwayne McFarland and Leonard A. Rutter Jr. (wife Darby) eight grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends Monday, July 29, 2013 at 7:00PM at the West Fairview United Methodist Church, Second and North Streets, West Fairview. Interment at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goodwill Fire Company No. 1, Third and Abolition Streets, West Fairview, PA 17025.
