Harry (Hank) George Kramer (1933-2017)

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, Hank left this world to join our Lord in heaven.

He was known and loved by several names: Harry, Hank, Dad, Happy Pappy, and Pappy Fluff. He was the kind of person you could spend your life trying to become. He had an easy-going nature and happy spirit that made it impossible not to smile when he was near. His gentleness and love shaped his family in a profound and amazing way.

Hank grew up in Camp Hill and married the late Carrie (Clark) Kramer in 1955. Over the next 60 years, they raised their children, welcomed upwards of 90 foster children into their hearts, and showered their love on their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His career spanned 40 years with Morgan Millwork and in addition to being an avid bird enthusiast he also enjoyed carpentry, hunting, and fishing for many years. After retirement, he discovered a true talent for gardening and baking and he found happiness in sharing his talent with “the breakfast line”, his highly sought after “hankerdoones”, sandtarts and peanut butter eggs, and celebrating each of his family’s birthdays with a special dessert of their own.

Those of us left behind are saddened by our loss, even while we rejoice in the knowledge of his arrival in our Father’s House. His memory lives on with his children: Melody (Bill) Barry, Cindy (Doug) Twombley, Steven (Patty) Kramer, Nancy (Tim) Rhoads, Susan Kramer, Paul Kramer, and Matthew Kramer; 4 brothers, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, daughter Lynn Anne, grandson Corey, and his parents; 4 brothers and sisters, and many other friends and loved ones.

We will take comfort in this passage [Isa 57:1-2]

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand.

For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Viewing will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 10AM-11AM at Sullivan Funeral Home in Enola.

Services will begin at 11AM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Enola Cemetery.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kramer family.
